The opening credits sequence shows various photographic and painted images, as well as Oklahoma landmarks, set against the New York City landscape: the “Touch the Clouds” statue of a Sioux Indian chief; wearing a War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (breastplate), placed on the Brooklyn Bridge. Tulsa King delivers

Exactly what you’re looking for. Stallone delivers a chilling, pointless spectacle that blends humor and violence to near perfection. The classic fish-out-of-water scenario is brilliantly acted.

To be honest, I was pleasantly surprised

And the first episode does a great job of assembling what seems like an all-star cast. The plot starts to unravel from the get-go. We’ll see how the season goes, but for now it’s a big change of pace compared to some of the other series that have recently debuted.

No CGI, to be sure
