Line of Events

It tells the story of three very different families competing to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. Yes, the plot moves a little slowly, it doesn’t immediately grab you emotionally, and there are a lot of side stories.

I can see how that could be off-putting to people (including my husband)

I enjoyed it, I knew it would be worth it, and for me it was worth it. I ended up liking all the supporting characters, I loved the casting and the variety of comedic timing and portrayal of emotions by the different actors.

But to me, the two had no chemistry, and even the kissing scene and the happy ending felt forced

The only actors I didn’t like were Lisa and Ray, which was disappointing because I’m a huge Lisa fan and watched the show mainly because of her. I didn’t like Lisa’s performance in this show (nor Ray’s voice) and I think that because of the lack of chemistry, the entire show felt like it had no center of gravity.

However, it got better with the arrival of their daughter

And they should have been the ones pulling the story together. Reading other reviews, I realize that other people feel differently about their acting, and I respect that, but to me, they weren’t the best casting possible.
